What an amazing evening of music we had on 11th July. The audience at St.Michael's in Highworth was treated to Will Todd's Mass in Blue and Bob Chilcott's Little Jazz Mass sandwiched together by a more reflective aria and spiritual (How can I cherish my man in such days and Steal Away) from Michael Tippett's A Child of our Time.
With Greg Hallam as conductor, a superb jazz trio and wonderful soprano Lisa Swayne, the evening was enjoyed by audience and choir alike.
This concert was largely funded by a generous bequest from Valerie Anne Butt, a long-standing member of the choir and we are sure she would have loved the programme.
